Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas

Mickey Thomas, the owner of the soaring voice that propelled The Starship through the decade of the 80's is now entering the 90's as a solo artist. With his choir boy good looks and soulful compelling voice, Mickey has established himself as one of contemporary music's most recognizable stars. Mickey Thomas made his mark in 1976 as lead vocalist on meager-hit "They Fooled Around and Fell In Love," by The Elvin Bishop Band. The 1979 Mickey's notoriety outgrew the confines of The Elvin Bishop, and he left to join The Starship as their lead vocalist. Backed by the power of Mickey's vocals. The Starship immediately scored a #1 hit with "Jane," with Mickey as their focal point, The Starship went on to record an amazing string of hits, including an incredible four #1 smashes. "No Way Out", "We Built This City", "Sara", and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now." Other top hits included "Find Your Way Back", "Stranger", "Laying It On The Line" and "It's Not Over 'Till It's Over", which becomes Major League Baseball's theme in 1987.
